My Canon EOS-1D X Review
Look and Design
As the flagship DSLR from Canon, The design of Canon EOS-1D X is very professional, Although it is taller and thicker than the predecessor Canon EOS 1D4, and the overall button layout is extended from the old version, But the body looks more durable and with the comfortable control.
You will find this display is sharp and bright with the 1,040,000 dots resolution, Because of the 3.2 inch TFT LCD Screen has higher resolution than other cameras.The bad point is it is not a titling LCD which makes this camera is not good at wide angle shooting.
What about the Performance?
Thanks to the 18.1 megapixels full frame CMOS sensor, Maybe it’s not the best in Canon EOS series, But the High ISO performance is very impressive, That you can shoot perfect image with the sensitivity lower than ISO 6400. Don’t worry lot of the color noise, The Dual DIGIC 5+ Image Processors which are the newest image processors from Canon can reduce the noises and keep the high quality photos well even in the extreme environments.
You will like the 14fps High speed mode which is the fastest continuous shooting speed among all Canon EOS Series, And the 1080P video shooting is also a great mode for videographers, As the 30p frame rate is easy to record the moving scenes.
We find if you use the viewfinder to shoot, You can shoot 1000 images after fully charged, If you like capturing videos, There are about 2 hours battery life you can use, Broadly speaking, The battery life is satisfied.
Verdict and Price
“I love my new 1DX. I have had them all from the 20D through the 5D Mark II. This is my first 1D body and I am impressed! The low light performance is amazing, the AF and exposure are much better and the thing is FAST!!! It is expensive but I believe it will be worth it in the long run. As a wedding and location shooter on occasion I really like the redundant CF cards. I have never lost an image and don’t wanna start now! The safety of 2 cards helped in my decision.
