My Fujifilm FinePix SL300 Review

Feel and Design
The Fujifilm FinePix SL300 is a compact camera if not includes the 30x Optical Zoom. The plastic black body of this camera looks not easy to be dropped and the rubberised hand grip is easy to handle. And you are either a old customer or an entry level, The button is easy to control and placed better than the predecessor.
The 3.0 inch screen has no difference from other compact which also has the resolution of 460k dots, And you can’t expect a sub-$200 camera use the screen with 920k dots resolution. And i think it is sharp and clear enough.
How about the Performance
Though the photo quality is great below ISO 1600, But noise would raise and details would reduce when the sensitivity over this range. I think if Fujifilm can replace the CCD Sensor with EXR CNOS sensor, I think the image quality would be better.
The 720P video has smaller memory footprint than 1080P video, But the quality can be a litter lower, If you are not requiring much about video quality, This is acceptable.
The battery life is a very impressive feature at this price, Camera at this class can only shoot 250 shots or lower after fully charged, So i think the traveler would like it.

Verdict and Discount
“The Fujifilm FinePix SL300′s main selling points are it’s 30x optical zoom lens, ample rubber grip, long life battery and electronic viewfinder, all available at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately image quality isn’t fantastic, particularly as colour reproduction leaves them looking a little flat and barrel distortion is clearly evident when shooting subjects which are fairly close to the camera. If you are on a budget and need a travel camera with a good zoom range, the SL300 is certainly worth some consideration.” – ephotozine
For people who like to travel, The Fujifilm FinePix SL300 maybe a good choice with it’s excellent battery life.
