My Olympus OM-D E-M5 Review

Look and Design
The Olympus OM-D E-M5 is available in 12-50mm Lens both with black and silver and 14-42mm Lens with black, But it is not available in 14-42mm Lens with silver.
Although we have been told that the Olympus OM-D E-M5 is a SLR style Camera, But when i received it from Amazon, I found it is really compact with the dimensions are 122 x 89 x 43 mm and weight is 425g. The size is a little bigger than the famous compact system camera Sony NEX-F3has dimensions of 117 x 67 x 42 mm, But the weight is lighter.
I think you will like the 3 inch titling OLED Screen, Because it’s not only sharp and clear, But also touchable, The touch screen is a new trend camera display that is much easily to control the digital camera. But it also has a bad point that you can use the touch feature when shooting movies.
What about the Performance
With the 17.2 Megapixels Full resolution CMOS Sensor, The quality of image look great. I can’t find any faults during ISO 200 and ISO 1600, Even with ISO 3200, The photos are also bright. But the details would reduced after ISO 3200. The 5-axis IS Image stabilization is excellent for it’s job and you will feel joyful with the viewfinder while taking pictures.
Don’t forget to use the manual exposure control when you are shooting videos, I think the 1080P/60i video would be outstanding with it’s own wind noise reduction.
It’s a good news for us that the full recharged BLN-1 Lithium-Ion battery in Olympus OM-D E-M5 could take at least 330 pics, This number is much more than other compact camera

Verdict and Discount
“The OM-D E-M5 marks the beginning of a new strand in mirrorless CSC cameras that poses the strongest threat yet to the dominance of DSLRs in the higher-end of the consumer market. It cleverly combines a retro SLR design (which is still widely held in affection 40 years on) with the best that modern technology can offer.indeed it all adds up to a killer combination that’s hard not to fall in love with. It’s hard to think of a recent camera more richly deserving of a Cameralabs Highly Recommended award. ” – cameralabs
At last, Though i think the price of Olympus OM-D E-M5 Camera is a little higher than i expected, But this is a good compact system camera.
