My Panasonic Olympus Pen E-PM1 Review

Look and Design
The camera would be welcome, Not only it is cute but also it has 6 skin(black, brown, pink, purple and white) can be chosen. The 401g weight is lighter than Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1 and aluminum body seems solid.
The size of screen is about 3.0 inch that is same as others, And the 460k dots of resolution makes the display more clear than 230k dots. The bad thing is i can’t find the viewfinder in this camera, In a sense, it reduced the user experience.
Do you like the Performance
With the help of 16 megapixels Live MOS Sensor and TruePic VI processor, The photo is free of noises below ISO 1600, and at this time you can find the pictures details are excellent, But if you want to shoot with ISO 3200, The result would be disappointed, Although the max ISO can reach to 12800, But the suggestion is keep the low ISO setting.
The speed of 1080P recording is 60fps which is higher than 30 fps in other compact camera, of course it is better than 720P videos, Because the faster speed the video mode can maintain the better scenes. The built in microphone and auto focus are very useful for shooting video too.
The battery life is not as well as i expect, I can only take 230 images after recharged, If you want to go outside, Do not forget to take some spare batteries, These maybe your saviour.

Verdict and Discount
“The Olympus PEN E-PM1 is priced right for an entry-level interchangeable-lens model and it’s a solid, if somewhat unassuming, model. I just found myself missing features like a touch screen and tilting LCD, and the photo quality is a bit too inconsistent for my taste. That said, it’s better than a point-and-shoot, and if you’re looking for a step-up model that’s still pretty compact, this is a good, affordable alternative.” – CNET
If you want to buy an affordable camera which also has a great performance on images and video, Why not check out the Olympus Pen E-PM1?
