Look and Feel
To reduce the weight, The camera body of Olympus SP-810 UZ is made from plastic, and you can find the rubberized grip on the right, The overall feel of this camera is light(only 413g with battery) and compact, But it looks not as solid as the metal body
At first, I feel the Olympus is a little stingy that only gives the SP-810 UZ a 3 inch screen with the resolution of 230k dots, Even the price is so low. But now i think the sharpness of screen is just ok and enough to use.
The ports in this camera is fully furnished with the HDMI and USB 2.0 that need not concern us.
How about the Performance?
If you want to shoot images from a distance, There is no doubt the 24mm – 864mm 36x Optical Zoom Lens in Olympus SP-810 UZ is useful. The limited sensitivity is ISO 800, you can shoot high quality images with it’s 14 Megapixels CCD Image Sensor, But noisy and hot pixels would increase after ISO 800, As we know that the CCD Sensor is not good at high ISOs Shooting.
If you don’t like this camera just because of the 720P video mode, I think you would be wrong. The 720P format is the general video shooting format that is enough to use and would not take much memory space, Though the 1080P video is greater than it, But you will need to take more Memory cards.
